Woolly mammoth fossils have been discovered on every continent except Antarctica, with particularly rich deposits found in Siberia, Alaska, Canada, and Europe.
Mammoths actually lived alongside humans and it was thought they were hunted for their meat & fur with cave drawings found all over the world.
Mammoths used their tusks for various reason including for gathering food, attracting mates & also protecting themselves from predators
Mammoth tusks were composed of dentin which is a similar substance to what human teeth are made from
