Chondrite is a form of stony meteorite, which has much less metal unlike many other meteorites. They are actually some of the oldest materials in the solar system, they represent the building blocks of planets & help to give an insight into how planets formed and the evolution of the solar system.
They can be found across the Earth from deserts to Antarctica, as chondrites actually account for around 85% of all meteorite falls on Earth.
The Chondrite we currently have in store is NWA 895, which is an L6 chondrite which comes under the low iron category within chondrites. This was found in Morocco, Africa relatively recently in 2010, it is believed to be around 4.56 billion years old.
